New Members
October 17, 2011
On October 2, 2011 the newly recolonized chapter of Beta Theta Pi, the Alpha Zeta chapter, inducted their first pledge class. The ceremony was attended by all the brothers, as well as an advisor and an alumnus, and all in attendance are excited for the future of the fraternity. The first pledge class consists of:
Alec Tremaine
Alec Wenzel
Braden Zoet
Brandon Sheeder
Garret Lee
Mike Schutte
Ryan Wells
Scotie Rowland
Seth Stratton
Sky Zhang
Tyler Houston
Wyeth Seidel
All of whom have begun their journey to become initiated brothers of the fraternity.
These men were selected from a larger group of highly qualified men through the formal recruitment process in September. The pledges spoke eloquently, were actively engaged with the recruitment activities, possess incredible potential, and above all else demonstrated that they are men of principle.
These new inductees have many accomplishments including being involved with the Pioneer Leadership Program, University Honors Program, resident assistants, high school valedictorians, National Honors Society members, All-State athletes, men involved in their religious organizations, countless volunteer hours, founded non-profit organizations, state and national champion athletes, and much more.
The gentlemen have begun the education process on the fraternity’s values and history and will continue this process in the upcoming weeks. They have all demonstrated great care in their pursuit of this knowledge and already have shown measureable growth in their personal and social knowledge.
The Alpha Zeta chapter is excited for these new members to grow into the brotherhood and have already seen the pledges around the house often and are starting to feel a strong connection with these new members.
